In 1964, Norman Edwards Found His Niche In Paving, And The Rest Is History.

Upon his return as a veteran of World War II, Norman Wesley Edwards worked in a variety of capacities to meet local needs in his community and expand his skill set. In time, he began focusing primarily on paving contracting, driveway repair, and building roads, adding a few trucks and hiring locals to help him keep up with the demand for his services.
Eventually, his sons Terry and Randy got involved in the paving business, and the current name Edwards Hearth & Home came about in 1964. Terry took over sole ownership in 2001, and his daughter Megan Edwards now works full-time in the company, keeping the tradition of excellence in paving and hearth services alive for a third generation.

A Lively Stove Showroom In the 1970s Began The Hearth Division of Edwards Hearth & Home.

In 1978 Edwards Hearth & Home opened offices and a showroom in Port Republic, at the location that still serves as headquarters today. Terry Edwards began to bring in wood stoves to demonstrate in the showroom, building his range and scope of stoves over the years. In 1988, Lois Morton began working at Edwards Hearth & Home to focus on the hearth business until her retirement in 2010 after a 22-year career. She increased inventory and expertise, hired in new employees to sell and maintain a full-service hearth and home center. Under Lois’s guidance, Edwards Hearth & Home built a strong focus on community and customer care with high ethical standards for service. Since the 1970s, Edwards Hearth & Home’s business has expanded to include gas stoves, pellet stoves, central heat, wood fireplaces, gas fireplaces, wood fireplace inserts, gas fireplace inserts, pellet fireplace inserts, Altoz riding lawnmowers, grills, outdoor hearth, accessories, fireplace doors, fuels and services.
